C’est la Vie, at Trouya Pointe

C’est la Vie, at Trouya Pointe, on the leeward side of the island of St Lucia is the answer to those families seeking to charter a superyacht and have no desire to venture offshore.

C’est la Vie is a privately owned 5-bedroom luxury villa set in extensive gardens with a private swimming pool and with access to two beaches.  

The villa is equally suited to families seeking a comfortable home from home and couples looking for a romantic retreat.  Guests have the option of booking the entire villa to ensure exclusive use or booking individual rooms to enjoy a boutique resort experience.

Caribbean style

C’est la Vie covers over 5,000 square feet and is built in a traditional Caribbean style with some Balinese influences.  It has a free-flowing layout with plenty of areas for relaxation and socialising as well as spacious bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and large verandahs perfect for private dining.

There are quiet spaces for reading or watching television in the reception lounge and the Gallery on the first floor.  There’s a Bose iPod docking system to play music in reception areas.

The spacious Sunroom on the first floor has a large dining table seating 12, while the Terrace by the pool is the perfect setting for al fresco dining.  Or guests can choose to have a barbecue by the beach.

Gardens

C’est la Vie is surrounded by extensive gardens filled with tropical plants and many fruit trees. The gardens are dominated by an eye-catching swimming pool with a feature Sugar Mill waterfall and island.  There are even areas for tai chi and yoga practice.

A secluded cove, ideal for snorkeling, is just 50 yards away, while a sandy beach is just a five-minute walk away.  Both are ideal for picnics and barbecues.

Despite being a villa, guests are not required to do any cooking or washing up.  Guests are offered a totally personalised service with a team including a butler and housekeeper on hand to take care of everything.

Breakfast is included as standard.  Guests have the choice of dining at local restaurants or having a chef prepare meals to be enjoyed at C’est la Vie.  Meals can be tailored to dietary requirements and served at times to suit guests.  For a special treat, guests can opt for wine or rum pairing dinners.

Concierge services

In addition, guests have access to the services of Premier Concierge Saint Lucia so activities such as sightseeing and excursions as well as fitness classes and spa treatments can be arranged on an individual basis.

Located at on the leeward side of the island, Trouya Pointe in the north of St Lucia, close to the Windjammer Landing Hotel and between the city of Castries and Rodney Bay with its restaurants, marina and shops.  Despite its proximity to these main areas, the villa provides a quiet, private environment where the main sounds are birdsong or the sound of water.

C’est la Vie can sleep up to 12 guests and is divided into three areas: the Flamboyant Villa with three bedrooms, the Cherry Apartment and The Cottage.

The spacious bedrooms are all individually styled and named after nearby trees.  They have en suite bathrooms and private verandahs where meals and refreshments can be served.  Bedrooms are equipped with flat screen televisions and DVD players, in-room safe, hairdryer, and bathrobes.  Rooms are air-conditioned or guests have the option of being cooled by natural breezes, combined with ceiling fans.

The majority of the villa, including the swimming pool, is wheelchair accessible.

Rates at C’est la Vie start from US$525 per night based on two adults sharing one bedroom on a bed and breakfast basis.
