The YBDSA, otherwise known as the Yacht Brokers Designers & Surveyors Association, is to hold its inaugural European Conference at the Yacht Club de Monaco on 24th October 2019.
The conference is specifically for brokers, surveyors and designers and other professionals who work in the large yacht sector.
Industry leaders
Attendees and speakers hail from the Membership of ABYA (the Association of Brokers & Yacht Agents) and YDSA (the Yacht Designers & Surveyors Association) and other leading industry Associations that represent professionals working in technical and legal aspects of the large yacht industry.

The key focus of the YDSA is to support its Members who provide services to clients in surveying and designing of commercial and pleasure craft under and over 24m (excluding ships and cargo vessels).
Training
YDSA has launched its own training pathway which will enable members to chart their own career progression using on-line modules, practical events and interactive events on-line in due course.
Members will also be able to submit other training activities for consideration towards their pathway, leading ultimately to YDSA professional certification.
YDSA also provides a range of events throughout the year to assist surveyors and designers in their professional development and provide great networking opportunities.

YDSA offers its own Code of Practice and Guidance Notes, a Sample Survey Report Pack, a Code of Ethics, a standard survey contract, an insurance scheme, plus assessment and feedback on reports submitted for membership, plus a range of training events to support members’ development within a training framework for career advancement
