Two Die in Virgin Island Superyacht Accident

In what appears to have been a most tragic accident two superyacht crew members have lost their lives and a third is in a critical condition

The two who died Kari Way and Howard Anderson, are crew serving aboard the 40 Resolute a Westport owned by the owner of Oil Nut Bay on Virgin Gorda.

Also injured and reported to be badly injured is Captain Steve Fossi the yachts long term Captain.

The accident happened in the early hours of the morning of 24th January when a tender travelling from Tortola to Virgin Gorda hit a rock in heavy rain with squally conditions

Virgin Isalands Search and Rescue (VISAR) confirmed that the body of the missing woman has been found. Photograph taken from Virgin Island News On Line shows the scene just after daybreak on the day of the accident.
