A little less than a month before the regatta, 76 boats have officially registered for the 6th edition of Les Voiles de St Barth… that’s already six more than last year and the number continues to increase!

This year, there are 10 Maxis from 63’ to 100’, including regular participants at Les Voiles such as the Maxi 72 Bella Mente, present for the second consecutive year, Wendy Schmidt’s Swan 80 Selene, the Dutch Aragon, and the Baltic 78 Lupa of London. Newcomers include the Maxi Boats, Comanche and Rambler 88, launched in late 2014, as well as the Swan 90 Odin and the RP 63 Lucky.

47 boats will compete in the Spinnaker class, where there are also lots of regulars, such as locals Maelia, Voiles au Féminin, Puffy, the Swan 53 of James Blakemore, Music, the Lithuanians of Ambersail, and the Americans aboard True, Stark Raving Mad, and Otra Vez. There are also sailors from Guadeloupe and Martinique sailing with Birinic Express, Fiser, and J Boss. This year they face new competitors such as the St Barth Iznogoud, the Americans of Spookie, Ventarron, Triple Lindy, and Hamachi, the Germans of Shaka, the English of Zarafa, and the French of Luna Rosa and Nina.

The Non Spinnaker class has eight entries, while there are nine multi-hulls including the record-breaking Phaedo3, the sleek Paradox, and the flying catamaran Zoulou, Le Carré/Diamond Genesis.
