Extraordinary demand for tickets for Motorhome Show

Rocketing ticket sales demonstrating pent up demand for campervans and motorhomes is evidenced by the extraordinary demand for tickets for the Caravan, Camping & Motorhome Show next February

After its Covid inflicted absence last year the UK’s largest leisure vehicle show is returning with 50% more campervans on display.

To date over 26,000 advance tickets having already been sold, an extraordinary number that is ten times the number seen at this point in previous years.

Show organisers, NCC Events is the show organising division of NCC the UK trade body for the tourer, motorhome, caravan holiday home and residential park home industries are clearly delighted.

Clearly strong ticket sales are a clear indication of pent-up demand and proof that there a lot of new buyers coming into the industry.

Interest in leisure vehicles is at an extraordinary all time high and perhaps this why Channel 5 have chosen to focus on the Caravan, Camping & Motorhome Show, as part of their new year programming, with filming taking place during the show and aired “live” during the event to an anticipated 1.5 million viewers.

This will be the first major leisure vehicle exhibition in the UK for two years.  Many manufacturers across product categories are using the show as a platform to launch new models and are utilising the event to present their brand to an audience that has boomed with many newcomers.

Show visitors can research new products and buy all the essential accessories they need for the season ahead as they begin to feel inspired about travelling again. For the adventurous, there will be some great innovations on display demonstrating that leisure vehicles are perfect for a variety of sports and hobbies.  For the more cautious, a product that is ‘socially distanced by design’ has a unique proven appeal.

Visitors can step inside and compare new for 2022 caravans, campervans, motorhomes and holiday homes/lodges from leading UK and European manufacturers and dealers all under one roof.

The event is supported by major UK and European leisure vehicle manufacturers including Adria, Auto-Sleepers, Auto-Trail, Bailey, Carthago, Chausson, Coachman, Elddis, Erwin Hymer Group UK, Knaus, Rapido, Rimor, Roller Team and more.

Campervan models on display include those from Bilbos, CMC Reimo, Danbury, Dreamer, Elddis, Hillside Leisure, Malibu, Murvi, Vantage Motorhomes, Westfalia Mobil and Wildax.

The extraordinary show will be spread over five halls at the NEC and both the Caravan and Motorhome Club and the Camping and Caravanning Club will be welcoming their many members to the show.

Free leisure activities will be on offer including a custom built indoor pool where visitors can try paddleboarding and kayaking, an advice centre for those new to leisure vehicles plus many other features.

NCC Events is working with the NEC to ensure that the show is COVID compliant, so that the staff from the 354 stand holders and show visitors are able to enjoy the largest start of season show as safely as possible.
