It seems that everyone who was working at Perini Navi USA has up sticks and walked, lock stock and barrel into a new position with Edmiston

Bruce Brakenhoff, Jr, has been appointed Director of the newest Edmiston office in Newport, Rhode Island. Bruce, and will be joined by Dirk Johnson, Rana Johnson and Linda Janney who were all previously part of his team.

Positive trading

The news comes after a positive trading report from Edmiston.  Despite the challenges the worldwide pandemic has created for the superyacht and travel industry over the last six months, Edmiston reports it has performed well with multiple yacht sales and strong a charter season.  

The new Edmiston office officially opens on the 1st September 2020 and will have divisions dedicated to charter and sales. The Newport office will be situated in the former Perini premises on Goat Island – the very same office in which Bruce has been working in since 1983, where he worked alongside his late father, Bruce Brakenhoff Sr. who ran his eponymous company Bartram & Brakenhoff with business partner Joe Bartram.

Bruce’s career has spanned almost 40 years, during which he has represented one of the most impressive client rosters of any broker and been responsible for a long list of notable sales. The last 23 years has been spent building the Perini Navi office in USA.

Having moved lock stock and barrel the team expressed their enthusiasm by saying “We’re all flattered, excited and motivated to be adding almost 100 years of collective experience and perspective to the Edmiston company.

Rana Johnson will work across retail and Central Agency charter

Bruce, Dirk, Rana and Linda will work alongside Robert Shepherd who heads up the Edmiston office in New York.

Robert Shepherd, whose rather grand title is President of the Americas, concludes: “Edmiston now has two offices in North America, and two in Mexico, and this will further allow us to maximise results in the area.
