Numarine Sells First Hull of New 78HTS

Of all the yachts in Numarine’s fast planning hull series the 78 is perhaps our favourite.

We recently spent time cruising in one for a feature about cruising in Turkey for Yachts International magazine, so it was great to learn that the next evolution of this popular and proven hull has been sold to an Hong Kong client. He will keep the yacht in USA following her launch in summer next year.

Numarine, the European high performance motor yacht shipyard headquartered in Istanbul with a range from 62′ – 130′.

The new yacht is an evolution of the original 78HT yacht that we love so much.

She retains the existing modern and strong signature, while benefiting from a completely new comfortable sport flybridge with central upper helm station and four beautiful sunpads with tilt/recline backrests.

Regarding the latest sale of the 78HTS Sportfly Yacht, Numarine Sales &

From Numarine, Sales & Marketing Director Antonio Caviglia tells us “Hull no.1 of our new 78HTS was sold thanks to the team work of the Numarine Dealer Network. The Client is from Hong Kong and Asia Marine was instrumental in convincing him to choose Numarine, but the Yacht will be utilised in the USA, so the client had to be comfortable with Numarine USA as well for the after sales assistance.”

He added, “This special yacht will incorporate some significant customisations that we will divulge when we launch her in late Summer of 2018.”

The vast saloon of the new boat will be filled with natural light thanks to oversized glazing above and laterally. Contemporary furniture creates the ultimate entertainment space here with socialising being at the heart of the design. Inside, are a bar, large C-shaped sofa and dining area, while another lounge with a bar and oversized transformable sunpads is located aft.

The galley is moved below decks, and this decision allowed freeing even more space on the main deck. All four cabins are situated on the lower deck. The full beam owner’s cabin amidships features a unique design and encompasses plentiful wardrobe space, an open plan bathroom, walk-in shower, separate head and twin basins.

Guest accommodation comprises of three very generously appointed en-suite cabins, each outfitted with the finest fixtures and amenities. The Crew cabin is placed aft, next to the galley where they can enjoy a dinette.

Outside, emphasis has been given to relaxation space with an ingenious sun-pad configuration at the bow that provides a place in the sun for any number of guests. A forward facing ultra-wide lounge seat offers the best view aboard when cruising at speed in absolute comfort and safety.

One important addition is the sportfly deck, which allows guests to enjoy 4 large sunbeds and provides a fully equipped helm station in a privileged central position under the sun.

To ensure full comfort for guests, the yacht is also fitted with a teak laid hydraulic bathing platform.

Not all changes are aesthetic. The new 78HTS hides a new optional “Silent Package” that utilises a system of lithium-ion batteries along with a smart energy management system and an intelligent multi-stage air conditioning system. In simple terms, this allows the Owner to sit at anchor the entire day and run all electrical systems including air conditioning, audio/video, appliances, etc. with the generator running only for a short charge at midday – result: complete silence while enjoying the sea at anchor.

More importantly, after a short charge in the evening before going to bed, the Owner and his guests will be able to sleep in cool cabins without any noise except perhaps that of their peaceful snoring. This technical solution, along with the relentless efforts by Numarine Engineering to reduce all sources of noise, vibration and harshness, has made the 78HTS a new benchmark for comfort on board, both in navigation, with luxury car noise levels, and when moored or anchored. She is probably the quietest series-built yacht in her class today with 66dB in the lower deck area at cruise speed.

The new 78HTS is fitted with standard twin MAN V8 1200 hp, but hull no.1 will have the more powerful twin MAN V-12 1550 hp that will allow approximately 37knots max speed and 27 knots cruise. The range is up to 400 nautical miles.
