V Ships Sells Shareholding to give Azimut Benetti Group Full Control

V.Ships the world’s largest technical ship management company has sold the minority shareholding it has held in Fraser for many years to Azimut Benetti Group, the world’s biggest producer of luxury motor yachts.

This acquisition which gives the boat builder 100% of the share capital up from 83% and is a key step in the Group’s development and expansion strategy.

Fraser is the world’s largest provider of services for yachts and superyachts ranging from Sales, Charter Retail, Charter Management, Yacht Management to Crew Placement.

Fraser buys and sells over 50 super yachts a year, for a counter value of more than half a billion euro, and holds about 15% worldwide market share, which makes it the market leader. The Group manages directly 120 superyachts, some of them considerably large, with dozens of crew members. It operates around the world with direct offices in

In this context, Azimut|Benetti’s operation will allow Fraser to continue the growth trend that has been going on for years and has led the company to a leading position in the industry. To this end, new offices have already been set up in New York and Hong Kong.

With operations in 68 countries and a network of 138 sales and customer service offices, the Group embraces both the Azimut Yachts and Benetti brands, each dedicated to a different market segment. The Group also includes Yachtique, which provides services reserved exclusively for Owners and is a division of brokerage and charter specialist Fraser.
