Top James Bond Boats Revealed

regina

Yacht charter company The Moorings has revealed the top eight boats from the James Bond film franchise with an interactive web application debuting in line with the release of Spectre.

The collection of marine vehicles has been chosen by The Moorings for their appearance in iconic Bond scenes, how recognizable they are to audiences, and in regards to how intriguing they are. They include: the Q-Boat (also known as Q’s “Fishing Boat”) from The World is Not Enough, the Glastron GT-150 from Live and Let Die and the Lotus Esprit from The Spy Who Loved Me.

Complete with vintage-style animations, the web application allows users to discover behind the scenes facts and lesser known information about some of the more unique modes of transport we’ve seen on our screens since the Bond franchise began in 1962 with Dr. No.

Unsurprisingly the majority of the amphibious vessels featured are from the films starring 007 actor Sir Roger Moore; arguably the most recognizable and highly regarded Bond actor of all time whose scripts often included unbelievable scenes such as those found in Moonraker.

Each vehicle also includes a License to Thrill rating, which rates the marine vehicles by how much they add to the films they’re in at a glance.

Fellow Bond aficionados are encouraged to share their ratings with The Moorings across social media using the hashtag #licensetosail

The License to Thrill Rating was chosen by an impartial James Bond fanatic.
