Fort Lauderdale Hotels Refresh and Rebrand

There is a lot going on in Fort Lauderdale Americas superyacht Capital City.

Several of the city top hotels have rebranded and refreshed their images.

The B Ocean Fort Lauderdale is now officially Sonesta Fort Lauderdale, the first in Fort Lauderdale; and the Sheraton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort, is now reflagged as the B Ocean Fort Lauderdale.

Beachwalk Resort opens Spring 2015 along the Intracoastal Waterway in Hallandale Beach, with 216 resort units, infinity pool, restaurant and fitness centre. Its beachfront sister property, HYDE Resort will feature 367 resort units with pool with sweeping ocean views, spa, restaurant and access to the shared new Beach Club located on Hollywood beach. The 290-room beachfront Conrad Fort Lauderdale Resort and Residences is undergoing more than $34 million in upgrades including a Conrad Spa, swimming pool and exclusive oceanfront dining experience. Expected opening 2015. The Courtyard by Marriott Fort Lauderdale East re-opened with newly renovated rooms and a new lobby.The 998-room Westin Diplomat Resort, was acquired by Thayer Lodging Group and reopened as the Diplomat Resort &Spa Hollywood, Curio Collection by Hilton, with $100 million enhancement on tap.

The Fort Lauderdale Marriott Harbor Beach Resort & Spa completed their $7 million renovation of meeting space.

Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach unveils a new fourth floor oceanfront terrace to complement its events and meeting offerings.

Phase one of Hyatt Regency Pier 66 Marina’s $20 million project features major upgrades for yachts and mega-yachts, including new half-mile plus of parallel dockage and a new Marinetek floating dock system.

The new $147 million 349-room, Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort opens Summer 2015 on the Broadwalk as one of the first resorts to span the Intracoastal Waterway and the beach. It will feature seven restaurants/bars, multiple pools, full-service St. Somewhere Spa, double surf wave rider, and 30,000 sq. ft. of flexible function space.

A $5 million renovation for the Pelican Grand Beach Resort is underway, adding a new penthouse with 65 ft. oceanview terrace, new full-service spa overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and new oceanview ballroom.

The Renaissance Fort Lauderdale Cruise Port Hotel unveils an extensive redesign, with guest rooms, suites, corridors and concierge lounge, along with the fitness centre and new outdoor furniture.
