Hull of First 60 m series by Perini Navi has arrived in Viareggio

We last saw this hull inside the sheds when we toured the Perini Navi facility in Tuzla Turkey earlier this month.

Now the first of the 60m sailing yachts built by Perini Navi, has arrived in Viareggio.

Finishing, launching and delivery is scheduled for summer 2013 and will all take place at the Perini Navi facility in Viareggio.

This ketch, build number C.2193, was designed by Perini Navi’s naval architects in collaboration with Ron Holland.

Her new hull lines are a natural evolution of the earlier Perini Navi 56m series.

Here her hull and superstructure in aluminium give her a gross tonnage of under 500 tons and a displacement of approximately 570 tons.

She will feature a sail control system designed by Perini Navi and a lifting keel that drops from 4 to 9.8 metres.

A second in the series will be delivered in May and the first yacht in the 40m fast cruising line will be delivered at the end of the summer.

The Group is also currently constructing the third yacht in the 60m series and a 38m yacht in their Racing Line. Both these as yet unsold yachts could be ready for delivery in less than two years.
