Owner declares super yacht a piece of art

The first 60m yacht is launched in Cherbourg and exceeds owners expectations

At the naming ceremony in Cherbourg of Slipstream the first in a line of 60 metre superyachts to be built by CMN, the Australian owner announced that Slipstream was “more than a yacht, a piece of art”.

“This yacht has exceeded my expectations’’ and added “My friends and colleagues in Sydney were intrigued to know why I had chosen a French yard to build my new yacht, my answer was simple, the French build the Airbus, the best aircraft in the world, so they will be able to do the same job with my boat’’

Tried-and-tested around the world Netanya 8, the predecessor, to this yacht was used to further develop this larger version with refined hull length and characteristics with specific refinements requested by the owner, his captain and team. The hull of is deeper, raising the main deck but with lower bulwarks keeping the same profile. The increased internal volume has created a full height engineering deck allowing for an workshop facility in the tank area and also enabling the crew to access all technical areas right through to the aft garage.
