As we prepare to set off for Antigua to cover the Antigua Charter Yacht Meeting we are delighted to learn that we will be staying at the St. James’s Club & Villas. This delightful lush tropical playground is operated by Elite Island Resorts
It sits on a private 100-acre estate boasting breathtaking ocean views and two white sand beaches. The super yacht marinas of Falmouth Harbour and Nelson’s Dockyard are just a few minutes’ drive away.
A sociable club-like ambience prevails throughout, the visiting yachts contributing a dash of glamour. At its heart lie the guest rooms, restaurants and recreational opportunities of The Club.
The Village is an adjacent sanctuary of residential-style villas tumbling down a gentle hillside towards the bay.
By day there are two beaches, four swimming pools and a kid’s club, as well as a variety of on-site activities to keep all age groups entertained.
After dark, there is a choice of four restaurants set either in the gardens, on the hillside or right down by the water’s edge; the cocktail bars and live music to take nightowls into the small hours.
Guests can stay at St. James’s Club on a room-only or all-inclusive basis. Couples, families and singles are all welcome.
