From Phi Phi to the southern end of Phuket is a three hour passage sailing in Ocean Emerald.

It is necessary to call in here at Chalong Bay in order to clear in with customs and immigration, which despite the declarations being made on line prior to arrival seem to take forever.

This is the port of entry for yachts travelling from the south as we have done and it is not possible to continue cruising until the formalities have been completed.

It is a useful point for restoring and while our Purser was busy with paperwork our chefs were busy buying up local produce in the markets ashore.

Once we were clear we motored northwards along the eastern shore of Phuket island towards our berth inside Ao Po Grand Marina.
