CEO of Wider Yachts, Tilli Antonelli along with his firms co-founder, Paolo Favilla, have their eyes set on a wider horizon.

For some time they have been in discussions with the local authorities about the acquisition of a larger shipyard in Ancona in Italy.

Now it has been revealed he has set his heart on acquiring the ISA shipyard known the world over for the construction of more than 30 superyachts ranging in size from 36 to 66m.

This facility includes 4 sheds with capacity to build multiple yachts in tandem up to 80m in length and is home to the ISA shipyard. The formal offer to acquire both the shipyard and the ISA brand was placed in early January, although the process is unlikely to be concluded until mid-July.

He told us: “We already have most of the building blocks including a ground breaking range of products, a passionate team of professionals and strong financial backing through our partnership with Tan Sri Lim Kok Thay, chairman of the Genting Group. This facility would give us the ability to expand our production capacity to meet all future demands, both for Diesel Electric yachts under the Wider brand or using the ISA name for more traditional yachts, and represents the final piece in the puzzle.”
