Steve Wynn Yacht is in Amsterdam

According to superyacht fan.com the Web site that marries the names of superyachts to potted histories of their wealthy owners, the motor yacht 92 metre Aquarius which was started as Project Touchdown by Dutch builders Feadship is now in Amsterdam as she undergoes final preparation for handover to her new owner.

Superyachtfan named that owner as Steve Wynn the founder and Chairman of Wynn Resorts Limited.

a developer and operator of luxury hotels and casinos. Wynn played an important role in the rise of the Las Vegas Strip. He is responsible for resorts as The Bellagio, The Mirage, The Golden Nugget, Wynn and Encore.

Wynn previously owned the Amels built Aquarius (now Maria) and is reported to have purchased this new boat during the construction stages when she was nothing more than hull number 695.

The asking price at the time was US$ 215 million.

The new yacht, built of steal with an aluminium superstructure, has an interior design by Sinot Exclusive Yacht Design. She can accommodate 14 guests in 7 staterooms, who will be served by crew expected to number around 30.

Wynn’s previous yacht, Aquarius was built as Shanti by Amels in 2007 to a Terence Disdale Design.

She has a length of 67.6 meters (222ft), has a steel hull, and can reach a top speed of 17 knots.

She can accommodate 16 guests in 6 rooms and has a crew of 18. In 2012 she underwent an extensive refit.
