Jobs Superyacht Held in Amsterdam Over Unpaid Bill

Built for the late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, the super yacht Venus has been detained by Dutch authorities in Amsterdam. Unpaid bills owed to designer Philippe Starck are thought to be behind the yachts arrest
According to Reuters, a lawyer representing Starck’s company Ubik said his client had received a significant part of a €9m commission for his design and was seeking to recover the rest of what was outstanding.
The yacht was impounded and will remain in the port of Amsterdam pending payment by lawyers representing Jobs’s estate.
The lawyer representing Ubik, said. ” “The project has been going since 2007 and there had been a lot of detailed talk between the designer and his client.  He added. “They trusted each other, so there was no need for a very detailed contract between them.”
Steve Jobs, died last year and never got to enjoy the 80m superyacht built by Feadship and reported to have cost more than €100m
