Hill Robinson Expand by Opening an Office in Palma
Hill Robinson the yacht management company began serving the yachting community in 2001. Declaring that they would never compete in the yachts sales brokerage arena, they set themselves apart from other managers. Now, they have announced the latest addition to their growing network of strategically located offices around the globe. Their latest, situated in Palma de Mallorca, will work to strengthen their yacht, project and crew management offering.
Leading the new office is Director, Gary Miller. He is an experienced marine engineer who is specialist in large new construction projects, marine surveying, yacht management and refit supervision. Backing him up is John Bardon, who has over 50 years experience in both yacht construction and as Master. He has commanded some of the most renowned yachts in the world. John has an intimate knowledge of the Palma shipyards and construction facilities.
Gary has spoken of the benefits of a Hill Robinson location in Palma. He said, “With Palma internationally recognised as one of the major refit and repair centres in the Mediterranean as well as a being a fantastic charter destination.” He added, “It’s the perfect time to open our new office in Mallorca. Located next to the Palma waterfront. The Hill Robinson team are well-equipped to do what we do best: assist owners, captains and crew with reliable round-the-clock support for all of their yachting needs.”
Crew Specialists, Rosa Rodrigo and Leah Lapwood will be welcoming crew daily from 09:30-12:00. Rosa explains: “Finding and keeping great crew is critical to any yachts’ success. The HR Crew team maintain a detailed knowledge of the yacht, owner’s requirements and current crew, so CVs are carefully selected.” She adds, “We ensure that candidates are properly trained, vetted and have the right experience for the position. With our new office in Palma it will allow us to enhance our offering in crew recruitment services.”
The new Palma office adds to those in La Spezia/Italy, at Rybovich shipyard in Palm Beach/Florida, in Limassol/Cyprus and Australia’s Gold Coast.
