Fundraising cycling team Cogs4Cancer Presents €285,560.06 to charity

The charity; Cancer Research UK was €285,560.06 richer by the end of the London Boat Show thanks to the hard work and sterling efforts of yacht manager Captain Ben Young.

Ben, the president of Cogs4Cancer presented a cheque for €285,560.06 to Cancer Research UK at the London Boat Show.

With him at the event were Robert Braithwaite CBE of Sunseeker and Steve Crowe a rider in the event and the MD of Yachting Pages and the Super Yacht Owners Guide

To raise the money members of the Cogs4Cancer team, cycled from 782km from Ancona to Antibes for The Superyacht Shipyard Tour in October 2014.

Sunseeker International’s Founder Robert Braithwaite CBE, made the single largest donation on behalf of the Autumn Trust

Ben Young a Director of Sunseeker Yacht Management thanked all of those who have so keenly supported the charity from the riders to roadside assistance teams, co-workers, friends and loved ones. He said, “The support and reception of this fundraising effort has been phenomenal.”

In the past 2 years, the Cogs4Cancer team, which has seen support from celebrities, yacht owners, companies and individuals from the yachting industry and beyond, has raised over €400,000 for Cancer Research UK and local French charities, Lenval Children’s Cancer Unit, Nice and ISIS Tzanck Mougins.
