With just weeks to completion, and delivery ahead of schedule, Amels the Dutch superyacht builder have released the first pictures showing the the lines of their all new 65.5m design LIMITED EDITIONS 212.  As usual they have refused to name her publicly.
With an exterior from Tim Heywood complemented by an interior from Andrew Winch the yacht is expected to make her show debut at the 2011 Monaco Yacht Show.
At 1503 Gross Tons, this first 212 features two VIP cabins on the bridge deck, each with sliding-window access to a private balcony. A centrally-located glass elevator makes for easy and elegant access to all parts of the yacht, including the ‘wet feet’ bar on the sun deck and the large Beach Club located at the stern. There is ample storage for a range of beach toys and also for two 8.5m tenders.
Amels have  created an animated film on the new range and this can be viewed at www.amels-holland.com.
The delivery of this, so far unnamed yacht is just one of 10 projects under construction at the yard in Vlissingen were the facility is operating at 100% capacity. Due for launch a year after her sistership is the second 212, just visible in the background of the picture, housed at the back of the 140m covered dock. Hull No.2 is being fitted with a grand owner’s deck, demonstrating the flexibility of layout and interior options available.
Managing director Rob Luijendijk says this latest launch provides further confirmation that customers really appreciate the Amels combination of proven, high quality and speed of delivery. “The success of the LIMITED EDITIONS concept has firmly established AMELS as the market leader in the premium semi-custom segment. We pioneered the concept with the AMELS 171 and 177, and now we are expanding the range to the AMELS 212, and soon the AMELS 242.”
AMELS is the yacht-building member of the Dutch Damen Shipyards Group, the largest shipyard in the Netherlands, consisting of more than 34 shipyards companies throughout the world.
