Sherakhan

Built in 1965 as a Dutch merchant navy training ship for the Willem Barentsz Maritime Institute by Vuyk & Zonen, Prinses Margriet was converted to a luxury yacht in 2005.

She became Sherakhan and her distinct and authentic lines have ever since ensured she turns heads wherever she goes.

She underwent a major refit in 2014 with her exterior and interior design carried out under the supervison of her owners Verkerk Yachting Projects. The yacht is now for sale at €24,500,000

With an incredible amount of on board space she is able to host large groups of up to 26 guests in 13 cabins. Designed to be an expedition yacht wit a range of 9000nm she is capable of seeing the world Sherakhan has proven her credentials as a popular charter yacht with an adventurous past itinerary.

An incredibly stable hull, paired with on anchor stabilisers, ensures that guests can enjoy the highest levels of comfort when cruising. She has also been designed with families in mind, making her ideal for groups including children.

A unique interior is characterised by individual spaces including themed staterooms, each with their own personality and flair. With a configuration of the master cabin, eight doubles and four twins, staterooms have been designed to be extremely spacious and provide an appealing haven for guests.

The master suite includes its own private owners deck, separate study that can convert into an additional cabin and a Jacuzzi in the bedroom. Communal spaces include large saloons and lounges, a fully equipped gym, spa and themed massage room, with each again boasting their own individual style and drawing on a range of beautiful and opulent materials.

Memorable dining experiences are at the heart of life on board Sherakhan with dining set ups both inside and out, ensuring ample choice for both formal dinners and relaxed al fresco dining alike. As with the interior, exterior spaces have been maximised and there are multiple options for guests to make use of, from the many sun loungers and sun pads to an 18-person Jacuzzi.

An exciting range of toys and tenders ensure guests are spoilt for choice when it comes to on-water activities, with her inventory including jet skis, laser dinghies, a floating trampoline, fishing equipment, kayaks and more.
